This service is sponsored by the Taxpayer Advocate, with the purpose to educate members of the community about their tax rights and responsibilities. The staff here at our Low Income Taxpayer Clinic advocates for low-income taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in audits, appeals, collection issues, and tax revenue cases that need to go to court. This service is ongoing throughout the year and open to the entire community.
