Workshops Objective
Generally individuals in the US have a limited understanding of taxes and tax preparation. This is especially true for individuals in our ESL community. Most all of them are from other countries with a very different tax system than the US, this also makes them more acceptable to fraudulent tax preparers. The need to educate and inform the ESL community is important to preserve the integrity of our tax system and to insure fairness for all. Our workshops are design to better inform the ESL taxpayer and dispel misinformation they may have received; with the hope they don’t become victims to tax preparation scams.
