About the Clinic
Centro Hispano Low Income Taxpayer Clinic is operated by qualified Tax Practitioner with a supervising Enrolled Agent and an Attorney that services as the clinics qualify tax expert, both of whom have extensive experience with federal tax controversies.
Edwin Dillman, Clinic Coordinator
Edwin Dillman had joined the Clinic in 2008 and is also the Coordinator of the Clinic. He works with the staff to improve client services, represents clients before the IRS, and handles a variety of other Clinic matters. He has over decade of experience in the field of taxation and extensive administrative experience, and is admitted has an Enrolled Agent to practice before the Internal Revenue Service..
Eric Bylund, Tax Practitioner
Eric Bylund is a student at BYU and is a clinic Tax Practitioners. He has represented taxpayers on many diverse matters before the IRS and is qualified to help taxpayers to resolve issues with the IRS. He has also volunteers with United Way’s VITA program to help prepare taxpayers current year tax returns.
Dessire van Komen, Community Outreach Educator
Dessire works to provide the community with information about the clinic’s services and to educate the ESL community about their rights and responsibility related to taxes. She networks with state and other community originations to provide tax information relevant to the people they serve. Prior to joining the Clinic, She worked at Brigham Young University, She is also graduate of Brigham Young University in 2010.
In addition to her outreach activities, Dessire assists the clinic in creating brochures for ESL clients and helps in the translation of correspondences into Spanish.
